“Birthday’s are good for you. Statistics show that the more you have the longer you live!” – Larry Lorenzono
So I just celebrated my 37th birthday. It was a great day, or week rather! (I mean come on … I’m a Gemini … who are we kidding … sometimes it feels like the month of May was made just for me.) Anyone that knows me knows that I love my birthday. I really do. Always have. Always will. And I love other peoples birthdays. Actually, I love the whole idea of a good birthday and think it’s a day that should be celebrated. However, I have been noticing throughout the years that even though I love my birthday, it’s become less and less of an important date. I have no anxiety of getting older (except for the occasional wrinkle or grey hair) … yet I am noticing this trend. The celebrations are becoming less and less. And it’s not just with me … same goes for my circle of friends. And most people I know. As we become adults I think we get so wrapped up in work. Life. Family. Kids. Travel. Financial pressures. We think … not this year … I’m not in the mood … I don’t want to put anyone out … I don’t want to make a big deal of it … I hate surprises … I’m just getting older. Excuse after excuse not to celebrate YOU! But guess what? I know you want a party. A cake. Presents. Hugs. Kisses. Love. Balloons. Be it a small gathering of your 5 favorite people or a full blown bash. You know you want a party. So why not celebrate?! Why hold back from celebrating YOU! And in my opinion I think it’s critical that you do celebrate YOU! Here are my reasons why:What do you to do celebrate YOU on your birthday each year?
Be Well. Be Inspired! (And may your birthday suit never wrinkle!) Judi*To everyone reading this that was a part of maying this years birthday special. THANK YOU! I love you for that.
